Located in the leafy Perth Hills in Western Australia, Kitty Cat Crafts showcases the design work of Estelle Langslow. Estelle started to create her own original designs in 2001 when she was asked to tutor hand embroidery classes at a local craft shop. In 2002, Estelle started to teach a dressmaking and general craft class at a local sewing centre. This class continues today.

Since 2004, Estelle has been designing original patchwork patterns and teaching them to a dedicated group of students in the northern suburbs of Perth. These ladies have given Estelle the inspiration to create this web site and make her patterns available to more people. All of the patterns featured here are designed, the samples stitched and the patterns created by Estelle.

Click on the links in the margin to the left to see a variety of patterns aimed at all skill levels, with many patterns suitable for beginners. Some of these patterns have been used to introduce children to the joys of sewing and are a great way to start teaching your children and grandchildren how to sew. Check in the description of the project to find the projects Estelle has used to teach children to sew.

Current projects include quilts, cushions, bags, table runners and Christmas items. These projects feature a variety of techniques including patchwork, applique, quilting, decorative stitching, free machine embroidery, stitchery (hand embroidery) and programmed machine embroidery.

Our current Kitty Cat is a pure white short haired cat named Grizzly. All patterns and projects are carefully scrutinised by him at all stages of construction. He especially loves to curl up on any quilt that is currently in progress.

Check back often as new patterns will be listed as soon as Kitty Cat (below) approves them.
